This is so deep! How did you come up with it? Such a cool illustration. Wow.

<Light and Shadow>

“Where there is light, there is shadow...”

So said the philosopher. A stone fell into deep thought.

It looked at its own shadow—sometimes short, sometimes long; sometimes faint, sometimes deep. Suddenly, it became aware of its own existence.

It had never seen itself. Now, it could come to know itself through its shadow. But the shadow constantly changed shape—which one was the real self?

The river kept flowing. One day, the stone discovered that light determined the existence of the shadow. It began to observe the light.

“So the changes in the shadow are all caused by changes in the light,” the stone thought. “If I want to know my true form, I must understand the light.”

So the stone looked up—and was startled to find that light itself cast no shadow!

The stone fell into thought again. The mountain turned green, then white, then green again. Who knows how much time passed...

The light remained unchanged—without shadow.

But the stone made a profound discovery: light is everywhere. And it—was stuck here, unaware of the passing seasons...

It decided to become light—then it, too, could be everywhere. But its heavy body kept it from moving.

Looking at its own shadow, the stone felt—perhaps for the first time—the pain of being confined.

So it closed its eyes, no longer looking at the light or the shadow. The longing to become light lingered in its heart, and it sank into a deep sorrow, as if time itself had stopped.

One day, the stone felt warmth. A gentle breeze passed by, carrying away something from its body.

It opened its eyes again, and saw that its shadow had grown thinner. Suddenly, it understood.

It looked up at the sky—the sunlight still shone brightly, just as it always had.

The stone smiled. From that day on, it faced the sun every day, full of hope, never again looking back at its shadow.

The shadow grew thinner and shorter. Finally, the stone vanished—leaving no trace behind, only the sunlight shining down.

Where did the stone go?

The stone is everywhere.
