Scripture: Mark 10:46–52

I. Concerning Faith and Salvation

When Jesus healed the blind beggar, He said, “Your faith has made you well.” (Mark 10:52)

Note: Having “nothing” can sometimes be beneficial for faith because it removes attachments and entanglements, enabling a person to go completely “all-in” with God.

Positive Example (Illustration):

When a child is in the stage of relying on parents for everything, he or she completely trusts the parents to handle all things, regardless of their actual ability.

反例:
Negative Example:

A powerful official or wealthy magnate who becomes seriously ill may develop an anxious, conflicted attitude—hoping for healing yet fearing failure because it may cost them health, wealth, and influence. Such anxiety corrodes faith.

II. Concerning God’s Promises: The Blind Man “Immediately” Received Sight (Mark 10:52)

There are two types of God’s promises:

1. Immediate Fulfillment

These strengthen faith because their results are seen instantly. However, if faith remains on this level, what we trust is not God Himself but His miracles.

This carries a hidden danger: when miracles stop, faith may shrink or disappear.

2. Future Fulfillment

These correspond to complete faith—absolute trust in God Himself.

Even if fulfillment is not seen now or not given to us personally, we still believe it will surely come to pass, for God’s promises never fail.

Positive Example: The Abrahamic Covenant

“I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore.” (Genesis 22:17)

III. Faith in God: Teacher Wanyü’s Testimony (Chronological)

(A high-functioning autistic individual with multiple disabilities)

Note: The following is a summary of this morning’s conversation while driving her to class.

1. God allowed Wanyü to be born with special needs.
(God’s will was unknown—this was the stage of seeking.)

2. She served as a counselor in special-needs camps.
(But this was not yet the way God intended to use her.)

3. God told her: “I will use you to bless families of special-needs children.”
(She knew God’s will but not the method.)

4. Assigned by leaders, she became a speaker for parents, sharing “the inner world of special-needs children,” creating great impact.
(God’s plan was to use her as a bridge between parents and their children.)

5. She has continued serving as a speaker to this day.
(As God used her, He was also preparing blessings for her.)

6. Last year she ranked 6th in the Taichung teacher exam and became a full-time teacher at Dali High School.
(Years of public teaching at the camps reduced her fear of crowds and workplace anxiety.)

7. More to come…
(She trusted God in the past, trusts Him now, and will continue to trust Him in the future.)
